Opportunity:Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology
Job Details:- Locum Tenens assignment - ASAP through Ongoing with immediate need for May 18-22 coverage
- Perform procedures in the Endoscopy Suite on Mondays, Wednesdays, half-day Thursdays, and Fridays
- See patients in the office on Tuesdays and half-day Thursdays
- Take night call every night and round on any patient consults in the hospital
- 20-25 patient encounters per shift
- Overtime calculated after 40 hours, not on a daily basis
- Active Virginia medical license required
- Board certification eligible minimum; board certification not required
- Credentialing timeframe approximately 30 days
- Required procedural skills include:
- Upper GI endoscopy including with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, injection of varices, and PEG placement
- Esophageal dilatation/manometry
- Small bowel biopsy
- Lower GI endoscopy
- Flexible sigmoidoscopy
- Colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polyp
- Vendors are responsible for obtaining and submitting all necessary pre-hire requirements including a completed background check and drug screen as part of provider onboarding
Compensation:Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
