APP Nocturnist Intensivist Needed State College, Pennsylvania
Critical Care / ICU Locums ASAP Start
WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking an APP Nocturnist Intensivist for an ongoing locums opportunity in Pennsylvania. This is a night-only ICU position offering 12-hour shifts in a 10-bed ICU with physician backup available by phone.
Assignment Highlights
- Start: ASAP
- Schedule: Nights only
- Shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- 12-hour shifts
- Coverage may be split between multiple providers
- Temporary privileges available
- 10-bed ICU
- Average patient volume: 4 6 patients per shift
- Physician available by phone from 7:00 PM 7:00 AM and will come in for backup if needed
- EMR: Epic
Clinical Responsibilities
Providers must be comfortable performing required critical care procedures, including:
- Arterial puncture
- Central and other line placement
- Tube placement
- Paracentesis
- Thoracentesis
- Chest tube placement
Case logs from the past 2 years are required to demonstrate recent procedural experience.
Requirements
- Active Pennsylvania license
- IMLC candidates will not be considered
- BLS
- ACLS
- ATLS
- Demonstrated recent experience with required ICU procedures
- Case logs from the last 2 years required
- Must be comfortable providing independent overnight ICU coverage with physician backup available by phone
