The Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System seeks a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with either added qualifications in Geriatric Medicine or significant experience in long-term care. As part of our Geriatric and Extended Care Program you will provide comprehensive care for older patients with multiple complex health problems in a multidisciplinary, collaborative VA environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical care of older adults in a long-term care setting
- Work in partnership with physicians, NPs, PAs, nursing, and other healthcare disciplines
- Supervise and teach geriatrics fellows, residents, and trainees
- Partner with the Medical Director for QA and administrative tasks
- Must qualify for a faculty appointment at UCLA
- Provide care for elderly patients with complex medical needs in a VA Community Living Center (CLC)
- Maintain QA and meet administrative needs in the CLC setting
- Collaborate with the Medical Director to maintain quality assurance and administrative needs in the nursing home care setting.

Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine
- Current, full, and unrestricted license
- Completion of residency in an accredited core specialty
- Board Certified in Internal or Family Medicine with Geriatric Medicine training or experience in long-term care
- Fellowship trained or post-residency clinical experience in Geriatric Medicine
