Occupational Medicine opening in Santa Maria, CALocated 30 miles from San Luis ObispoWe are a leading occupational medicine clinic focused on reducing healthcare costs and improving employee productivity. We provide urgent and appointment-based care for work-related injuries and illnesses, along with tailored rehab programs to support timely returns to work. As a Staff Physician, you will enhance the patient experience by delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. You will manage patient flow, provide compassionate treatment, and communicate care plans effectively. Benefits Details

  • Salary range: $200,000 - $300,000 per year
  • Compensation is based on education, qualifications, and experience and may change based on internal and external factors
  • Position Details
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, manage work restrictions, and support safe return-to-work plans
  • Conduct and interpret OSHA, DOT, fitness-for-duty, and return-to-work exams
  • Order labs, imaging, and referrals; prescribe medications as necessary
  • Perform minor procedures such as wound care and foreign body removal
  • Communicate treatment plans, test results, and follow-up instructions to patients, employers, and clinical staff
  • Ensure a smooth patient flow by coordinating with clinical staff and minimizing wait times
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in patient records and EMR
  • Provide support and supervision to clinical staff, including Physician Assistants, as needed
  • Respond effectively to emergencies and perform stabilization when required
  • Uphold HIPAA compliance, infection control, and safety protocols
  • Job duties may change to meet clinic needs
  • Position Requirements
  • Strong analytical and clinical skills

  • Ethical conduct
  • Thoroughness
  • MD or DO with unrestricted California license
  • DOT certification required (or must obtain within 30 days of employment)
  • BCLS, CPR, and AED certified; DEA and California drug licenses
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DOT regulations, and EMR experience
  • Experience in occupational medicine strongly preferred
