Opportunity Adult Psychiatrist- Inpatient Unit opening for a BC/BE Psychiatrist for our IP Behavior Health Unit. This Health Unit is a 14-bed inpatient unit that provides a multi-faceted approach to mental health treatment for patients 18 years and older.Unit- Team is comprised of 2 MD and 1 APP
- Registered Nurses
- Licensed Practical Nurses
- Social Workers
- Mental Health Counselors
- Nursing Assistants/Safety Assistants
- Locum/Per Diem Weekend Coverage
- 14-Bed Locked Inpatient Unit
- Daily group therapy and individual sessions
- Experienced discharge planning staff
Clinical Responsibilities - Attending Psychiatrist to round daily on patients, admit and discharge to behavior health unit.
- Supervise APP's with occasional student rotations.
- Call is 1 week per month.
- Duties include direct in-patient consultation services and emergency room patient consults in conjunction with the mental health team.

Qualifications- Medical degree from an accredited university.
- A valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number.
- Board certified in Psychiatry and completed residency in an ACGME accredited Psychiatry residency program.
