Locums - Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, NP/PA Emergency Medicine Opening RecruitWell is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locums Emergency Medicine opportunity in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida.
Position Details - Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 3 months
- Schedule: 10-12 shifts per month
- Monthly Hours: 60-120 hours per month
- Shift Flexibility: Providers must be able to work all shifts; shifts do not need to be consecutive
- Current Shift Times:
- 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
- All shifts are expected to transition to 12-hour coverage as summer volume increases
Facility Details - Annual ED volume: approximately 55,000 visits per year
- Average daily volume: 155 patients per day, including around 30 pediatric patients daily
- Admission rate: 25%
- Average patient load: 1.7 patients per hour per APP
- Facility average: 1.55 patients per hour per provider
- Physician coverage: 42 hours daily
Provider Requirements - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with Emergency Room experience required
- Ideal experience in a Level II trauma center or higher
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience required
- 2+ years preferred
- HCA experience strongly preferred due to metric-driven environment
- Temps available for providers with a clean file
