The facility provides comprehensive medical and surgical services, including advanced diagnostic imaging, emergency medicine, cardiovascular care, cancer services, orthopedic surgery, and critical care.
Opportunity:Advanced Practitioners - Critical Care
Job Details:- Seeking a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a strong, collaborative team of Critical Care Intensivists
- Provide holistic, high quality care to critically ill patients admitted to the critical care unit
- Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic diseases in critically ill patients
- Perform procedures and order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Communicate with patients and families regarding their conditions and care plans
- Collaborate with a variety of consultants and care team members
- Conduct routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial treatment plans
- Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, including referrals to specialists and other health team members
- Inpatient, critical care intensivist setting
- Full-time schedule
- Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License required (or eligible)
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience as an advanced practice provider in a critical care setting required
- Neurocritical care experience highly preferred
