Locum Anesthesiologist Opportunity Cardiac Anesthesia
Location: Academic Level I Trauma Center
Assignment Start: August 5, 2026 (ASAP upon credentialing)
Assignment Length: Ongoing through December 2026
Overview:
A premier 187-bed Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist with Cardiac Anesthesia training for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity. This is a hands-on clinical role within a high-acuity environment featuring a strong cardiac surgery program and diverse procedural case mix. The rates are competitive. Travel, lodging, malpractice coverage, and rental vehicle will be provided.
Schedule
- Monday Friday
- 8 10 hour day shifts
- Unrestricted overnight call
- Weekend hotel call
- Ongoing availability through December 2026
- Preferred start as soon as credentialing is complete

- Primarily hands-on patient care
- Occasional CRNA supervision as needed

Required Qualifications
- MD/DO
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Cardiac Anesthesia Fellowship (or international equivalent)
- Must have achieved at least Testamur Status in Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography (NBE)
- TEE Certification required
- Experience in cardiac anesthesia required
- Ability to provide obstetric anesthesia coverage
