Locum Tenens Opportunity for Pediatric Hospitalist Location: California (CA), near Lakehead We are currently seeking a dedicated Pediatric Hospitalist to provide coverage located near Lakehead, California. This facility is in urgent need of locum support for the following dates: Job Details: Setting: Inpatient Required Procedures: Pediatric resuscitation and intubation EMR: Cerner Care B Average Number of Admissions per Day: 4 (3-5) pediatric patients and 7 (3-15) newborn/nursery patients Average Number of ICU Patients per Day: N/A (Facility does not have a PICU and NICU is covered by neonatologists) Emergency Codes: Run by emergency medicine physicians Pediatrician's Role in ER Visits: They will provide an in-person evaluation or phone consultation based on ER physician's determination of the patient's condition. The pediatric hospitalist is the attending for any children admitted through the ER or by direct admit. Attending Deliveries/Cesarean Sections: No, they are the attending for newborns admitted to the well-baby nursery after delivery. Neonatologists handle all high-risk deliveries.
