Locums - Silverdale, Washington Urology Opportunity (IMLC Accepted)

Clinical Role

Join an established urology practice in Silverdale, Washington, providing comprehensive outpatient and inpatient urology care. This locums opportunity offers a combination of clinic responsibilities and call coverage in a busy, fast-paced practice environment with access to robotic surgery capabilities.

Call Expectations
  • Call schedule is released approximately one month in advance.
  • Providers must be available to cover weekend call either before or after their scheduled assignment.
  • For first-time providers, weekend call will begin after the first week of coverage to allow time for orientation and acclimation.

Schedule:

  • Clinic hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Night call: 5:00 PM - 8:00 AM
  • 24-hour call shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM
  • Call schedule approximately 1:6 rotation
  • 5-6 Days of call plus clinic minimum
  • Call schedule released approximately one month in advance

Schedule & Coverage

Call Requirements:

  • Approximately 5-6 days of call coverage per month
  • Call days may occur Monday through Sunday
  • Limited weekend requirements
  • Providers should expect to cover weekend call before or after assigned weekday coverage
  • New providers begin call coverage after initial orientation week

Orientation:

  • Clinic manager will provide clinic tour and orientation prior to start date

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

Practice Setting:

  • Outpatient clinic and hospital call coverage

Patient Volume:

  • Approximately 20-25 patients per day

Surgical Volume:

  • Approximately 20-30 surgeries per month

Duties Include:

  • General urology clinic care
  • Hospital call coverage
  • Hospital rounding
  • Cystoscopy
  • Vasectomies
  • Prostate biopsies
  • TURP
  • Uroflow/cuff studies
  • Bladder scans
  • Ureteroscopy
  • Nephrectomy
  • Cystectomy
  • ESWL
  • Botox injections
  • General urologic procedures

Required Procedures:

  • Bread-and-butter urology procedures
  • Robotic surgery available but not required

Call Volume:

  • Approximately 20% new consults
  • Approximately 80% callback patients returning to the emergency department

Hospital Support:

  • Dedicated hospitalist team manages admissions
  • Locum provider responsible for rounding

Support & Technology

EMR System:

  • Epic

Support Staff:

  • Two registered nurses
  • Medical assistant
  • Surgery scheduler
  • Two front office staff members

Technology:

  • Robotic surgical platform available onsite

Requirements

  • Board Certified in Urology - Highly Preferred
  • Truly Board Eligible within five years of residency completion will be considered
  • Active Washington license - Highly Preferred
  • Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) accepted with Letter of Qualification in hand at submission
  • Candidates requiring Washington licensure will be considered
  • DEA Registration - Required
  • ACLS Certification - Required
  • BLS Certification - Required
  • Candidates without current ACLS/BLS certification may be considered if willing to obtain prior to start
  • Candidates must be able to cover approximately 80% of the requested dates
  • Providers must specify exact availability through February 2026
