Assignment Details- Start/end: Open block through ; building an ongoing pool
- Schedule: Onsite weekdays 7a-5p; weekday evening call 5p-7a; weekend call Saturday 7a through Monday 7a; potential rounding
- Coverage type: Inpatient and call
- Volume: 2 admissions/physician/day; 250 beds, 30 ICU beds; call volume low (159 STEMI activations in 2025 with a 47% cancellation rate, emergent callbacks less than every other day)
- Setting: No trauma designation; adult and geriatric; other interventional cardiologists present during coverage
- Support: Not specified
- EMR: Epic
- Credentialing: Emergency/temporary privileges
Clinical Details- Required scope: Balloon angioplasty, coronary angioplasty, PCI, heart catheterization, medical management of vascular disease, coronary angiograms, embolic protection, carotid artery stenting, atherectomy; STEMI call aligned with unassigned and noninvasive coverage
Requirements- Board certified in Interventional Cardiology
- License: Active VA required
- BLS, ACLS
- Active DEA
Compensation- Rate negotiable, open to your number
