Join our dynamic outpatient clinic specializing in endocrinology, providing expert care to adult and geriatric patients. This locum tenens position offers a unique opportunity for a physician to manage a diverse range of endocrine disorders including hyperthyroid, hypothyroid, and diabetes. Work alongside a dedicated team, including an RN, diabetes educator, dietitian, and one advanced practice provider. This role does not require on-call duties, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage common endocrine conditions such as hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism, Graves' disease, thyroid nodules, pituitary disorders, and diabetes.
  • Perform fine-needle aspiration (FNA) as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide comprehensive patient care with a focus on adult and geriatric populations.
Qualifications
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine
  • Fellowship in Endocrinology required
  • Must have a valid state medical license and DEA
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred
Working Hours
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Last patient appointment scheduled at 4:15 PM
  • Two weeks of coverage per month with no on-call duties
Skills
  • Proficiency in managing a wide range of endocrine disorders
  • Competence with EMR systems, specifically EPIC
  • Ability to work independently and perform FNAs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction
