Clinical Role
Join an established and busy Urology service in Dubois, Pennsylvania, providing 24-hour call coverage at a Level II Trauma Center. This hospital serves as a regional hub for surrounding facilities, including Clearfield, Elk, and Brookville, creating a varied and active clinical environment. The assignment includes inpatient rounding, emergency surgical coverage, urologic consultations, and procedures as needed.

- September 8-10, 2026, ending 7:00 AM September 11
- October 13-14, 2026, ending 7:00 AM October 15
- October 19-21, 2026, ending 7:00 AM October 22
- November 1, 2026, ending 7:00 AM November 2
- November 3-4, 2026, ending 7:00 AM November 5
- November 9-11, 2026, ending 7:00 AM November 12
- November 25-30, 2026, ending 7:00 AM December 1
- December 7-9, 2026, ending 7:00 AM December 10
- December 11-13, 2026, ending 7:00 AM December 14
- December 17-30, 2026, ending 7:00 AM December 31
Ongoing 2027 Coverage:
Approximately 1 weekend per month, beginning January 2027, generally from Thursday at 4:00 PM through Monday at 7:00 AM with 24-hour call coverage.
Coverage Requirements:
- Approximately 4 hour call shifts per month
- Weekday and weekend call
- Inpatient rounding
- Emergency surgical coverage as needed
- Urologic consultations
- ED and inpatient provider consultations
- Procedures as clinically indicated

Clinical Details & Responsibilities
Patient Population:
Adults 18+
Patient Volume:
Variable; patients are not scheduled in advance.
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Provide 24-hour Urology call coverage
- Round on inpatient Urology patients in the morning
- Evaluate inpatient and emergency Urology consultations
- Respond to ED and other provider requests
- Perform emergency Urologic surgery when needed
- Manage patients requiring Foley catheter placement
- Perform procedures as clinically indicated
- Round on patients who remain hospitalized following procedures
- Coordinate care with the Urology PA and inpatient support staff
Procedures & Clinical Scope
Potential procedures and clinical conditions include:
- Cystoscopy
- Ureteral stent placement
- Hematuria evaluation and management
- Kidney stone treatment
- Stone extraction
- Holmium laser lithotripsy
- Testicular torsion management
- UTI management
- Foley catheter placement and consultation
- Emergency Urologic surgery as needed

Requirements
- Board Certified Urology - Required
- Active Pennsylvania Medical License - Required
- IMLC Accepted
- DEA - Required
- ACLS - Required
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience preferred
- Ability to provide 24-hour weekday and weekend coverage
- Ability to perform required Urologic procedures
