Schedule: 12's: Must be on the unit ready to go by 6:45 am/pm. Shifts run from 7a - 7p. Self-scheduling is allowed as long as the needs of the unit are met. Staff are allowed 4 requested days off per month

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care in an intermediate care unit with a focus on cardiac, post-procedure, and overflow patients.
• Read and interpret tele monitor strips, including those managed by RN staff.
• Titrate drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Labetolol, Nitro, Heparin, and occasionally Lasix.
• Manage respiratory equipment including high flow devices and Bipap.
• Collaborate with the hospitalist or intensivist in-house 24/7.
• Participate in float rotations to Tele or MedSurg units with ratios up to 1:6 or 1:7.
• Complete floor-specific orientation with a preceptor before independently managing assigned patients.
• Handle common diagnoses such as chest pain, arrhythmias, CHF, post-pacer, pre/post caths, and Tikosyn therapy management.
