We are seeking a board-certified Neurohospitalist for a locum tenens opportunity near Petersburg, VA. Position Details:

- On Call Requirements:
- 7 on/7 off call rotation
- 24 hours to see a consult
- No code stroke response; neuro emergencies are handled via teleneurology
- Coverage Type: Inpatient neuro consult service
- Patient Population:
- Adult, ED, Medicine
- Average Number of Patients Per Day: 15
- Areas of Rounding: ED, ICU, and 6 other areas
- APP Support: One APP available Monday through Friday
- Documentation System/EMR: EPIC
- Practice Setting: Inpatient
Additional Information:
- Reason for Coverage: MD resignation
- Dates of Coverage: ASAP - Ongoing
- No Response to In-House Codes: Neuro emergencies are handled via teleneurology
- No Other Neurohospitalists: You will be the sole neurohospitalist during the locums coverage
- Locum Responsibilities:
- You will not be responsible for supervising other healthcare providers
- Focus on providing top-tier neurohospitalist care to a diverse adult patient population
Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified: Required
- ACLS/BLS: Required
- State License: Virginia (willingness to obtain is acceptable)
