Locum - Physician - Interventional Cardiology
Join a reputable medical facility in Mechanicsville, Virginia, seeking to enhance its Interventional Cardiology coverage with skilled locum physicians. This vibrant community is home to a 250-bed regional medical center, dedicated to providing quality healthcare to a diverse patient demographic, including adults and geriatrics. The ideal candidate will contribute to a collaborative and supportive team of interventional cardiologists at this equipped facility.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient care as an Interventional Cardiologist, performing essential procedures including Balloon Angioplasties, Coronary Angioplasty, and Heart Catheterization.
- Manage emergent calls related to STEMI and other cardiac conditions, ensuring timely responses.
- Engage in medical management of vascular diseases and perform various diagnostic procedures such as Coronary Angiograms.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and community-based emergency coverage.
- Document patient interactions and procedures using the EPIC EMR system.
- Collaborate with a team of approximately 23 Interventional Cardiologists while ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Active Virginia state medical license.
- Demonstrated clean malpractice history.
- Self-Query NPDB report, pulled within 30 days prior to presentation.
- Availability for specified coverage dates is mandatory.
