Location: Sanford/Orange City and/or Mount Dora/Tavares, FL (Floating between regional sites)

Schedule: Flexible Options (3x12s, 4x10s, or 7-on / 7-off Day Shifts)

Position Overview A premier medical group specializing in geriatric and adult complex care is seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician (with some Hospitalist experience) for a confidential, high-impact role.

This position offers a dynamic environment where the physician will float across various regional Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospitals and Skilled Nursing Facilities within the Sanford/Orange City and/or Mount Dora/Tavares market areas. You will work alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary team, managing complex acute and chronic conditions while focusing on disease prevention, functional recovery, and positive patient outcomes across multiple rehabilitation care locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Multi-Site Clinical Coverage: Float between designated inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and skilled nursing facilities within the assigned local territory to provide consistent medical leadership.

  • Admission Management: Conduct thorough evaluations and manage care plans for new inpatient admissions.

  • Clinical Supervision: Oversee and collaborate with a dedicated Nurse Practitioner responsible for daily rounding.

  • Rehabilitation Care: Deliver comprehensive medical management tailored to the inpatient rehabilitation and sub-acute care population.

  • Continuity of Care: Diagnose and manage complex conditions across cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, GI, and musculoskeletal systems to optimize long-term health and wellness.

Qualifications

  • Education & Credentials: MD or DO from an accredited institution.

  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted Florida Medical License (or eligible).

  • Board Certification: Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Additionally, some Hospitalist experience is preferred.

  • Clinical Skills: Demonstrated compassionate care, strong diagnostic acumen, and a commitment to high-quality patient outcomes in a post-acute, rehab, or geriatric setting.

  • Flexibility: Comfortable floating between regional rehabilitation and post-acute facilities.
