About the Opportunity
An established healthcare system in the Bronx, NY, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join their growing outpatient behavioral health service. This direct-hire position offers a collaborative, multidisciplinary practice environment focused on delivering compassionate, family-centered mental healthcare to children, adolescents, and young adults in an underserved community.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and risk determinations for pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients.
- Provide evidence-based psychotropic medication management and integrated therapeutic interventions.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members, including pediatricians, clinical social workers, therapists, and school/community liaison teams.
- Partner with parents, guardians, and families to design holistic, personalized treatment plans.
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Active, unencumbered New York State Medical License (MD or DO).
- Active New York DEA registration and Controlled Substance authority.
- Completion of an accredited Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship.
- Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) are a strong plus in this diverse community setting.
