Locums - Springfield, Oregon Gastroenterology Opportunity
Clinical Role
Join an established hospital in Springfield, Oregon, providing inpatient gastroenterology coverage in a hospital-based setting. This locums opportunity includes rounding, new consultations, and procedures for adult patients, with approximately 10 patients per day. The provider will serve as the only inpatient GI physician but will have access to specialty consultants and outpatient GI colleagues for clinical and workflow support.

- Standard 5-day schedule
- 10-hour shifts
- 7:00 AM-5:00 PM
- Call as scheduled
- Night call required

Patient Population:

Patient Volume:
Approximately 10 patients per day
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient gastroenterology care
- Round on hospitalized patients
- Perform new GI consultations
- Evaluate and manage adult GI patients
- Perform required GI procedures
- Perform ERCP
- Participate in scheduled night call
- Coordinate with specialty consultants as needed
- Communicate with outpatient GI colleagues regarding workflow and clinical questions
- Provide ongoing inpatient GI management

Additional inpatient GI procedures as clinically indicated.
Coverage & Support
Inpatient Coverage:
The locum provider will be the only inpatient GI physician during coverage periods.
Clinical Support:
- Specialty consultants available as needed
- Access to outpatient GI colleagues for workflow questions and clinical support
- Hospital-based multidisciplinary team

Requirements
- Active Oregon Medical License - Required
- Depending on start date, facility may be willing to license
- ACLS - Required
- Minimum 2 years of experience - Required
- ERCP experience - Required
- Hospital privileges - Required
