Schedule: 4 Days per Week 10-Hour Shifts Outpatient No Weekends

Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for an outpatient primary care opportunity in Tuolumne County, California.

This opportunity offers an attractive 4-day workweek with 10-hour shifts and no weekends, allowing you to make a meaningful impact while maintaining a desirable work-life balance.

The FNP will provide comprehensive, patient-centered primary care to patients across the lifespan, with a focus on prevention, diagnosis, treatment, chronic disease management, and overall wellness.

The ideal provider will be comfortable working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team and must be willing to see up to 17 patients per day once fully ramped up and established in the clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages in an outpatient setting
  • Conduct physical exams, health assessments, and preventive care visits
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Develop evidence-based treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications in accordance with California scope of practice and clinic protocols
  • Provide patient education regarding wellness, disease prevention, and chronic condition management
  • Collaborate with physicians, behavioral health providers, community health workers, and public health services
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters in the EHR
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, case reviews, and staff meetings
  • Maintain current knowledge of clinical best practices
  • Be willing to see up to 17 patients per day once fully ramped up
Qualifications
  • Current and unrestricted California RN and NP licenses
  • National board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC)
  • DEA registration and furnishing number, or ability to obtain prior to hire
  • Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of primary care experience preferred
  • Experience working with Native American or underserved populations preferred
  • Strong cultural competency and patient-centered communication skills
  • Ability to provide comprehensive care to patients across the lifespan
