Job Responsibilities
- Manage care for critically ill pediatric congenital cardiac patients
- Cover pre- and post-operative pediatric cardiac surgical patients with complex conditions
- Contribute to a multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers
- Provide care for adult congenital heart disease cases and PICU boarder patients as needed
- Implement arrhythmia, vasopressor, pacemaker management, and support ECMO/CRRT care as required
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pediatric Cardiac ICU
- Completion of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program
- Active New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing
- Current national certification as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA
- BLS from AHA and PALS from ABA are required
- Pediatric Acute Care Physician Assistant certification is preferred
Working Hours
- 39 hours per week
- Rotating 13-hour day and night shifts, with flexibility required for holiday and weekend coverage
