Physician Assistant Position Available in Pediatric Cardiac ICU

  • Schedule: 39 hours/week with 13-hour rotating shifts, including day (6:00 AM-7:00 PM) and night (6:00 PM-7:00 AM); includes holidays and weekends as needed
  • Patient Population: Pediatric
  • Location: Rochester, NY
  • Stipends: Housing and travel options can be discussed for non-local candidates

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage care for critically ill pediatric congenital cardiac patients
  • Cover pre- and post-operative pediatric cardiac surgical patients with complex conditions
  • Contribute to a multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers
  • Provide care for adult congenital heart disease cases and PICU boarder patients as needed
  • Implement arrhythmia, vasopressor, pacemaker management, and support ECMO/CRRT care as required
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pediatric Cardiac ICU
  • Completion of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program
  • Active New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing
  • Current national certification as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA
  • BLS from AHA and PALS from ABA are required
  • Pediatric Acute Care Physician Assistant certification is preferred
Working Hours
  • 39 hours per week
  • Rotating 13-hour day and night shifts, with flexibility required for holiday and weekend coverage
