Internal Medicine Physician

Location: Peoria, Illinois
Assignment Length: 6 Months
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Start Date: August 2026

This is a strong outpatient wound care locums opportunity for physicians with wound care and hyperbaric medicine experience seeking a predictable weekday schedule. The assignment offers Monday-Friday daytime coverage with no call requirements currently identified, allowing providers to focus exclusively on wound care management in a dedicated outpatient setting. Physicians who enjoy chronic wound management and multidisciplinary collaboration will find this to be a highly attractive opportunity.

An established outpatient wound care center is seeking a Wound Care Physician to provide ongoing coverage for a six-month assignment. The physician will evaluate and manage patients with chronic and complex wounds while working alongside a collaborative clinical team in a dedicated wound care environment.

• Outpatient Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine setting
• Monday-Friday schedule
• 40 hours per week
• No call currently required
• Dedicated wound care patient population

• Malpractice coverage provided

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Surgery
• Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine training and experience required
• Active Illinois Medical License
• Active Illinois DEA
• Active Illinois CSR

Physicians will provide care for patients with:

• Diabetic ulcers
• Pressure injuries
• Venous and arterial ulcers
• Non-healing surgical wounds
• Chronic and complex wounds
