We are assisting with the recruitment of an accomplished Emergency Medicine leader to serve as Emergency Department Chair / Medical Director within a nationally known 700+ bed Medical Center. Work in the flagship hospital of one of the nations largest non-profit healthcare networks in northeastern United States and greater New York metropolitan region.
This is a significant leadership opportunity for an Emergency Physician who brings together clinical credibility, operational leadership and a passion for academic Emergency Medicine.
An Emergency Department Built for Impact
The Chair will provide leadership for the Emergency Departments and an exceptionally sophisticated emergency medicine operation that includes:
- Approximately 110,000 annual ED visits
- 120 modernized treatment areas
- Recently renovated and expanded Adult and Pediatric Emergency Departments
- Level I Trauma Center
- Children s Hospital and dedicated Pediatric ED
- Fast Track and geriatric emergency services
- Emergency Medicine Residency and Fellowships in areas such as Toxicology, Critical Care and Pediatric Emergency Medicine
- Active research and academic programs
- Hospital-based specialty transport, transfer and helicopter capabilities
- Advanced Practice Provider and scribe support
- Epic EMR
