An acute care health care facility in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a Neonatology assignment in a Level IV NICU. This role focuses on providing advanced inpatient care for critically ill neonates and supporting a collaborative, high-acuity clinical team.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Days or Nights
- Schedule: Monday through Sunday; in-house 24-hour shifts, 12-hour day or night shifts, and 9-hour day shifts; weekends required
- Hours: 36-48 hours per week
- Setting: Inpatient NICU
Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced care for critically ill neonates in a Level IV NICU
- Perform neonatal procedures, including endotracheal intubation, UAC and UVC placement, lumbar punctures, chest tube placement, and peripheral arterial line or stick procedures
- Manage complex neonatal cases involving neurological, surgical, cardiac, and multi-system conditions
- Collaborate with physicians and other providers in a shared workload model
- Adjust patient care plans based on acuity and provider assignments
- Document clinical care using Sunrise Clinical Manager
Qualifications:
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
- Active Arizona RN license, APRN license, and Arizona DEA registration
- AHA BLS, AHA PALS, and NRP certifications
- At least 1 year of experience in a children's hospital
- Ability to perform the listed neonatal procedures
Desired Skills:
- Experience in neonatology or a Level IV NICU
- Familiarity with Sunrise Clinical Manager
