  • Experience: Trauma or critical care experience preferred

What You ll Do:
  • Perform comprehensive patient histories and physical exams within the trauma setting
  • Develop and revise treatment and management plans in accordance with pharmacy regulations
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging
  • Recognize urgent situations requiring physician intervention and initiate immediate care
  • Counsel patients on health topics including medications, social habits, and disease management
  • Coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and follow-up care
  • Assist in trauma procedures as needed, including surgical assistance (training/competency required)
  • Support the trauma surgeon and monitor patient progress on the trauma service

What You Need:
  • Active California NP or PA license
  • Trauma or critical care experience preferred
  • Certification in ACLS, ATLS, PALS
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and follow protocols for surgical assisting if needed
  • Strong clinical judgment and teamwork skills

About the Assignment:
This role supports a Level II Trauma Center in Redding, known for providing high-quality emergency and trauma care. You will work alongside a dedicated team of professionals, supporting the trauma surgeon and caring for an average of 20-25 ICU patients per day. Specific duties include patient stabilization, care coordination, and participating in trauma procedures.
