An established medical group is seeking a Neonatologist for a locum opportunity in Summerville, South Carolina. This role offers coverage in a Level III NICU with a focus on rounding and call support for a collaborative neonatal care team.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: 24-hour shift
- Schedule: Friday through Thursday; weekends required
- Hours: 24 hours rounding plus call from home/hotel
- Setting: Inpatient hospital NICU
Responsibilities:
- Provide neonatal care for patients in a Level III NICU
- Perform daily rounding and manage patient coverage during scheduled shifts
- Participate in call coverage from home or hotel as assigned
- Collaborate with neonatologists, NNPs, and on-site OB/MFM support staff
- Maintain continuity of care across assigned coverage dates
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Neonatology
- Recent neonatology experience
- Active South Carolina medical license or active IMLC
- Availability for the scheduled coverage dates
Desired Skills:
- Experience in a Level III NICU
- Experience with per diem or locum neonatal coverage
