Responsibilities
- Performing comprehensive patient evaluations, including reviewing medical histories, conducting physical examinations, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Providing diagnosis and treatment for various cardiovascular conditions such as heart disease, arrhythmias, hypertension, and heart failure.
- Managing medication prescriptions and monitoring their efficacy, adjusting treatment plans as needed to enhance patient outcomes.
- Conducting and interpreting non-invasive cardiac tests like electrocardiograms (ECGs), echocardiograms, and stress tests.
- Offering guidance on lifestyle adjustments including exercise routines, dietary habits, and stress management techniques to promote heart health and prevent disease progression.
- Coordinating patient care with other medical specialists such as cardiovascular surgeons, interventional cardiologists, and primary care physicians to ensure comprehensive treatment.
Requirements
- Board certification in Cardiology.
- Valid New York medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Strong clinical skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to staying updated with the latest advancements in cardiology.
