The Opportunity Step into an established, multi-disciplinary cardiology program working alongside an experienced clinical and administrative support team.
Clinical Scope: Manage general adult cardiology care across ambulatory and inpatient settings. Core responsibilities include:
Conducting outpatient cardiology evaluations, follow-ups, and chronic disease management.
Performing inpatient daily rounding and consultative care for hospital patients.
Collaborating closely with primary care providers and hospital care teams.
The Schedule: True Monday-through-Friday daytime coverage.
Call & Weekend Requirements: Absolutely zero call and zero weekend responsibilities.
Patient Volume & EMR:
Outpatient Clinic: Highly manageable pace of 15 to 18 patients per day.
Inpatient Census: Low, comfortable consult volume.
Technology: Outpatient operations utilize Athena EMR for streamlined charting.
Candidate Requirements Board Status: Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Cardiovascular Disease.
Licensure: Active, unencumbered Connecticut State Medical License and active DEA.
Clinical Readiness: Full comfort handling both ambulatory cardiology clinic management and inpatient consultative rounding independently.
