What You ll Do: - Provide emergent OB/GYN coverage in a high-volume hospital setting
- Collaborate with hospital staff including other OBs, general surgeons, ER physicians, and anesthesiologists
- Manage labor and delivery processes for approximately 72 deliveries per month
- Support pregnancies, monitor fetal well-being, and handle obstetric emergencies
- Assist with GYN emergencies as needed
- Contribute to ensuring quality care in a Level 3B NICU-equipped hospital environment
- Offer backup support to in-house hospital team as required
What You Need: - Active medical license in Virginia
- Board certification or eligibility in OB/GYN
- At least 2+ years of OB/GYN hospitalist experience preferred
- Strong clinical skills in emergency obstetric care and gynecology
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
About the Assignment:This assignment is at a reputable hospital in Christiansburg, VA, serving approximately 600 scheduled obstetric patients and supporting emergent GYN cases. The hospital provides a substantial obstetrics unit with in-house anesthesia and Level 3B NICU support (mothership hospital). You will work alongside a dedicated medical team committed to delivering excellent patient care.
