We are seeking a Board-CertifiedFamily Medicine Physician for a locum tenens opportunity with a growing,team-based primary care practice in Tacoma, Washington. This is an excellentopportunity for a physician who values preventive medicine, relationship-basedcare, and whole-person patient management.
Compensation: $100 Per Hour plus travel
Position Highlights
- 10-15 patients per day
- Extended appointment times of approximately 20-60 minutes
- Collaborative, team-based care model

- Focus on preventive and value-based care
- No inpatient responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient family medicine care.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Provide preventive care, screenings, and health maintenance.
- Develop individualized treatment plans focused on whole-person care.
- Manage chronic conditions and coordinate specialty referrals when appropriate.
- Educate patients on wellness, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Work collaboratively with health coaches and other members of the care team.
- Complete accurate and timely electronic medical documentation.
- Apply appropriate medical coding and documentation practices, including Medicare Advantage and HCC coding
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency
- Board Certified through ABFM, ABIM, or AOA
- Minimum 3 years of primary care experience
- Current, unrestricted Washington medical license or ability to obtain
- Current DEA registration
- Experience working in a team-based primary care environment
- EMR experience preferred
