We are seeking a Board Certified Interventional Radiologist for a full-time locum opportunity in Michigan. Join a collaborative 3-physician, 2-APP IR team at a Level I Trauma Center providing a broad spectrum of hospital-based interventional procedures.
Assignment Details - Start: September 2026
- Coverage through December 2026
- Full-time locum assignment
- Monday Friday
- 7:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Q3 weekday and weekend call
Practice Setting - Hospital-based Interventional Radiology
- Level I Trauma Center
- Adult and geriatric patient population
Clinical Responsibilities - Approximately 8 cases per day
- Angioplasty
- Stent placement
- Embolization
- Needle biopsies
- Thrombolysis
- Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE)
- Additional orthopedic, gynecologic, and urologic IR procedures
Support - 3 Interventional Radiologists
- 2 Advanced Practice Providers
- Dedicated IR manager
- Collaborative multidisciplinary team
Requirements - MD or DO
- Board Certified in Interventional Radiology
- Active Michigan medical license (IMLC not accepted)
- BLS and ACLS required
- Clean malpractice and license history strongly preferred
- NPDB self-query dated within 30 days of submission required
- Local providers preferred; travel providers considered if available for 3+ weeks per month
Credentialing - Approximately 90 days
- Expedited credentialing available for urgent coverage needs
Travel - Mileage reimbursement
- On-campus lodging available for qualifying providers
Ideal Candidate An experienced Interventional Radiologist comfortable performing a wide variety of vascular and nonvascular procedures while participating in a shared call rotation within a busy Level I Trauma Center. Providers able to commit to multiple consecutive weeks of coverage each month are strongly encouraged to apply.
