Locum Anesthesiologist Opportunity Eureka, California

We are seeking a Board Certified (or truly Board Eligible) Anesthesiologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Eureka, CA . This is an excellent opportunity for providers looking for a flexible schedule with consistent monthly coverage.
Position Highlights
- Location: Eureka, California
- Setting: Inpatient Hospital
- Assignment: Ongoing
- Coverage Needed: Approximately 1 2 weeks per month
- Schedule: 7 14 shifts per month
- Guaranteed Hours: 8 hours per shift
- Clinic + Call
- Weeknight beeper call and 24-hour weekend beeper call
- Providers must be willing to participate in night and weekend coverage
Schedule Details
Providers will initially work alongside the existing anesthesia team during day shifts before transitioning into night coverage to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
Typical Shift Structures Include:
- OB Shift: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
- In-house daytime coverage
- Evening beeper call
- Evening Shift: 3:00 PM 7:00 AM
- In-house evening coverage
- Overnight beeper call
Requirements
- Active California Medical License
- Active DEA
- Board Certified (or truly Board Eligible) in Anesthesiology
- Comfortable providing inpatient anesthesia services
- Willingness to participate in nights and weekends as part of the team rotation
Travel & Logistics
Travel arrangements are coordinated for qualifying providers. Reimbursable expenses include:
- Airport parking
- Approved rental car insurance
- Transportation between the destination airport, hotel, and facility
