Practice Setting and Clinical Scope

In this role, you will be the sole provider in a busy department, offering a broad range of urological care. You will handle general cases in the clinic, engage in surgical procedures in the operating room, and provide hospital call coverage. The facility is equipped with a robot for surgical cases, enhancing your ability to provide cutting-edge care. With a patient volume of 20-25 per day in the clinic and 20-30 surgeries per month, this position promises a dynamic and engaging professional experience.

Schedule and Assignment Details

The schedule includes clinic hours from 8 AM to 4 PM, with night call from 5 PM to 8 AM, and 24-hour call coverage on a rotational basis (1 in 6 days). A minimum commitment of three months is required, with ongoing coverage options into 2027. This role involves 5-6 days of call plus clinic work per month, providing a balanced yet stimulating workload.

Support and Work Environment

Join a collegial and supportive team with robust ancillary support. The facility employs two RNs, a medical assistant, a surgery scheduler, and two front office staff to ensure smooth operations. You will benefit from a collaborative work environment with excellent patient and customer service focus. The hospitalist team handles admissions, allowing you to focus on providing top-notch urological care.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified in Urology or Truly Board Eligible within 0-5 years of residency completion.
  • Active Washington license highly preferred, or eligibility to obtain it.
  • Active ACLS, BLS, and DEA certifications required, with the possibility of obtaining if selected.
  • Ability to cover about 80% of specified dates with detailed availability through February 2026.
  • Clean malpractice history is highly preferred.
