Opportunity:Physician - Hospice
Job Details:- Participate in the decision-making process in relation to admission to hospice at home or in the inpatient setting
- Participate as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team in the development of individualized care plans
- Certify and re-certify when necessary patients eligible for hospice care under the Medicare Hospice Benefit
- Consult with attending physicians regarding pain and symptom management
- Coordinate efforts with the attending physician to provide continuity of care
- Develop and monitor the medical component of the hospice program
- Participate in the development, coordination, and implementation of hospice services and policies
- Participate in the development of staff and volunteer training
- Conduct home visits (in person and virtual) as a consulting physician when appropriate
- Act as a hospice liaison and advocate with national, state, and local physicians, healthcare professionals, partners, and the community
- Perform related administrative functions as required and/or assigned
- Schedule: Forty-eight (48) on-call weeks per year: Monday 7am through Friday 7pm, including mandatory in-person attendance of one Interdisciplinary Team Meeting (IDT) per week; four (4) weekends per year: Friday 7pm through Monday 7am
Compensation:Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
