Job Title: Locum - Physician - Anesthesiology - Cardiac
Summary: Join a leading facility in Omaha, Nebraska that is in need of CV anesthesiology locums to cover open heart, thoracic, vascular, and structural heart cases. Candidates must be TEE certified, and a cardiac anesthesiology fellowship is preferred. In addition to cardiac cases, providers will also assist with general OR responsibilities as needed. This facility operates as a 187-bed Level 1 Trauma Academic Center equipped with 15 operating rooms and advanced cardiology support, making it a dynamic environment for experienced professionals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Cover cardiac surgical cases including open heart, thoracic, and vascular surgeries.
- Assist with general OR cases as required.
- Perform anesthesia assessments and develop anesthesia care plans.
- Supervise CRNAs as necessary during procedures.
- Maintain high levels of patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement activities related to anesthesiology.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an approved ACGME or equivalent CV anesthesia fellowship.
- Five years of documented CV anesthesia experience along with supporting letters if fellowship trained candidates are unavailable.
- Testamur status in Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography (NBE) is required.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified in Anesthesiology (General).
- TEE certification is mandatory.
- Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship is required.
- NE license is highly preferred; IMLC is also acceptable.
- Clean malpractice and background check is highly preferred.
