Gastroenterologist - FTE (Direct Hire)

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Gastroenterologist to join a well-established practice in Hilton Head, SC. This opportunity is ideal for a physician who enjoys a balanced clinical mix of inpatient and outpatient care and is open to performing a range of GI procedures. The role offers a collaborative environment, strong referral base, and the ability to build a long-term practice in a desirable coastal community.
Key Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive gastroenterology care across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a wide range of GI and liver conditions.
- Perform endoscopic procedures and other GI procedures as clinically appropriate.
- Participate in inpatient consults, outpatient clinic visits, and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with primary care, hospitalists, surgeons, and other specialists to coordinate care.
- Maintain timely documentation in the EHR and contribute to quality and patient-safety initiatives.
Schedule & Practice Model - Full-time, direct hire position.
- Mixed inpatient and outpatient practice.
- Procedure-focused role with time allocated for clinic and hospital coverage.
- 2026 and 2027 start opportunities available, depending on candidate availability and practice needs.
Qualifications - MD or DO degree.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology.
- Active or eligible for South Carolina medical licensure.
- Strong procedural skills and willingness to perform a mix of inpatient and outpatient GI care.
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Prior experience in a hospital-based or mixed GI practice preferred.
