Physician (MD) - Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology
Job Details:
Hematology/Oncology coverage with ongoing assignments on a rotating basis, 2 weeks per month (consecutive preferred)Preferred schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional night and weekend call included in assignmentCall is currently 1:2 with very few calls and can be performed via phone4 provider group consisting of 1 physician and 3 APPs in a collegial and supportive practice environment95% outpatient and 5% inpatient mix with a target patient load of 10-15 patients per dayPatients booked at 60-minute new patient consults and 30-minute follow-up appointmentsEach provider is assigned to three rooms with patients roomed by an RN who performs comprehensive assessmentsInpatient rounding is typically performed by APPs; patients are admitted by the hospitalist group with oncology consulted as neededOffice utilizes ONCO EMR systemGenetic counselor available onsite, weekly tumor board, and strong primary care supportResearch department with 1 dedicated research associate for oncologyPhysical location shared with radiation oncology with a shared waiting areaProgram holds American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (ACOS CoC), National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), and American College of Radiology Radiation Oncology Practice Accreditation (ACR ROPA) accreditationsBoard certification required; ACLS and BLS certifications requiredFellowship required; site is NOT accepting IMLCFacility:
