Emergency Medicine Physician (MD or DO) (Locum Tenens)
Location: Texas
Schedule: Day and night shifts; schedule varies
Position Overview
Emergency medicine coverage in a busy community emergency department. Providers should be comfortable managing a broad range of acute presentations and working within a shift-based coverage model.
Clinical Scope
Emergency department evaluation and management
Trauma support consistent with site capability
Collaborative work with specialty services and APP coverage model
Required Qualifications
MD or DO
Active, unrestricted Texas medical license
Board certified in Emergency Medicine, or board certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with recent emergency medicine experience (per site requirements)
Active DEA registered to Texas address (if required for clinical scope)
Certifications required for non EM board certified physicians may include ACLS, PALS, and ATLS or trauma equivalent (per site)
Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience within the past five years to qualify

Credentialing and Onboarding
Credentialing timelines vary by site and may require recent case logs and CME documentation
