Shift: Clinic Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, with weekday, night, and weekend call coverage
Overview
- Patient Population: Obstetrics & Gynecology; approximately 8 10 deliveries per month with fewer than 15 clinic patients per day
- Practice Setting: Outpatient Clinic, Labor & Delivery, and Hospital-Based OB/GYN Coverage
- Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive outpatient OB/GYN care, manage labor and delivery, perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries, provide gynecologic surgical care, interpret fetal monitoring, perform OB ultrasounds, and participate in scheduled call coverage.
- Required Procedures: Vaginal Deliveries, Cesarean Sections, Fetal Heart Rate Interpretation (NST/CST/FSE), Level I & II OB Ultrasounds, Repair of 3rd & 4th Degree Lacerations, D&C, Hysterectomy, Uterine Suspension, Anterior/Posterior Repair, Tumor Resection, Laparoscopic Gynecologic Procedures, Ectopic Pregnancy Surgery, Oophorectomy, Cystectomy, Extensive Lysis of Adhesions, and other major gynecologic procedures.
- EMR System: Epic
- Support Staff: Two OB/GYN Physicians, Registered Nurses (RNs), Medical Assistants (MAs), and C-Section Assist Staff
- Coverage Needed: Ongoing Full-Time Coverage
- Call Requirements: Provider is on call during clinic hours (8:00 AM 5:00 PM), night call from 5:00 PM 8:00 AM, and weekend call from Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 8:00 AM. Holiday coverage is required.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN (Required)
- Eligible for or able to obtain an Active New Mexico Medical License (Required)
- Current Case Logs demonstrating at least 50 vaginal deliveries, 20 C-sections, and 25 gynecologic surgical procedures within the past 12 months (Required)
- Minimum of 1 Year of Clinical Experience (Required)
