Psychiatrist (MD/DO)

Employment Type: W-2 Full-Time, W-2 Part-Time, or 1099 opportunities available (varies by practice)
Schedule: Varies by practice (some opportunities may include evenings/weekends)
Location: In-person, hybrid, or remote within applicable states.

This structure allows clinicians to find opportunities that align with their professional goals, preferred populations, and work style. This posting is a general application for Psychiatrists interested in current or upcoming opportunities within our partner practices. Please note: ARC Health supports recruiting for partner practices. All employment decisions, compensation, and clinical operations are managed directly by the individual practices.


Psychiatrist Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients in the outpatient setting.
  • Provide medication management and therapy to a diverse patient population.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Stay current with advancements in psychiatric treatment and research methodologies.
  • Make referrals for psychotherapy when indicated and collaborate with all other mental health professionals involved in the patient s care to ensure comprehensive treatment.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records completely all documentation in compliance with legal/ethical standards.
  • Advocate for clients' needs and rights, including access to psychiatric services and medications.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in Washington, DC, or willing to obtain
  • Board-Certified Psychiatrist (MD or DO)
  • Possess and maintain a valid Drug Enforcement Administration ( DEA ) number and all other licenses and certificates that may be lawfully required to prescribe medications, including controlled substances.
  • Preferred minimum of 1 year experience treating children, adolescents, adults, and older adults in private practice
  • Strong understanding of psychiatrist assessment, diagnosis, medication management, and therapeutic techniques
  • Knowledge of evidence-based interventions in psychiatric treatment
