- August 7: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Licenses & Certifications- Ohio Medical License: Active and required
- Board Certification: Board Certified OB/GYN required
- BLS: Required
- ACLS: Required
Practice Details- Location: Toledo, OH
- Setting: Hospital-Based Labor & Delivery
- Coverage Reason: Short staffing due to two FTE vacancies and upcoming maternity leave
- EMR: Epic
- L&D Beds: 10
- Nursery Level: III
- Hospital Trauma Level: I
- Labor & Delivery Level: IV
Clinical Environment- OB residents onsite
- Residents available to first assist
- Dedicated nursing staff
- Collaborative practice with certified nurse midwives
- Onsite laboratory
- Onsite ultrasound
Patient Mix- High-Risk OB: 80%
- Low-Risk OB: 20%
- Gynecology: 10%
- C-Section Rate: Approximately 25%
Required Clinical SkillsObstetrics- High- and low-risk pregnancy management
- Fetal heart rate interpretation (NST, CST, FSE)
- OB ultrasound interpretation
- Level I & II OB ultrasounds
- Viability and anatomy scans
Labor & Delivery- Vaginal deliveries
- Low forceps deliveries
- C-section decision making
- Complicated C-sections
- Breech deliveries
- Multiple gestation deliveries
- Placental abruptions
- VBAC management
- Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
Gynecology- Ectopic pregnancy management
- Oophorectomy
- Ovarian cystectomy
- Extensive lysis of adhesions (LOA)
- Tubal ligation
- Chromotubation
- Open gynecologic surgery
- Office procedures including:
- IUD placement
- Cystoscopy
- Colposcopy
- Cryosurgery
- LEEP
