URGENT - New Pathology Locums Job in Tennessee
This is a great opportunity with one of our clients in Tennessee. We are contracted with a medical facility in search of a highly skilled Pathologist to assist with their full time coverage needs starting in September.
Details/Requirements for Assignment :
" Active Tennessee license or IMLC required
" Board Certified required
" Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8am-5pm + night call
" Approximately 35-50 surgical/day (GI, GU, Gyn, Endocrine ,breast, lung, soft tissue, lymph node, biopsies and resections, few skins, thyroids, CT guided deep biopsies. ortho)
" Review of blood smears; no bone marrows or paps
" Occasional frozens
" PA does grossing and cuts/stains frozens
" Will need to order specials and immunos on own in the computer
" Transcription done on computer
" No cytotechnologist; Techs prepare slides in IR
" Night call is typically blood bank calls; occasionally donor tissue evaluation
Clinical Pathology Duties:
" Review antibody ID for blood bank
" Transfusion reaction work up/evaluations
" Body fluid crystal examination
" Review peripheral smears
