JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Interventional Cardiology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Gettysburg, PA Service Setting: Hospital Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: Aug 28, 2026 - Nov 27, 2026 Clinical Shift Schedule: Mon - Fri, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM On-Call Shift Schedule: Weeknights 4:00 PM - 7:00 AM (beeper call), Weekends 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM (Stemi call) Call Type: Beeper call from home (weeknights and weekends) COVERAGE DATES Aug 28, 2026 (7:00 AM) - Aug 31, 2026 (7:00 AM) Oct 5, 2026 (7:00 AM) - Oct 9, 2026 (5:00 PM) PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Volume/Census: 15 consults per day, 3 procedures per day FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 74 EMR System: Epic PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: Yes, for urgent needs Credentialing Timeline: 120 days REQUIRED PROCEDURES TEEs Echo reads Cardiac Catheterization (inpatient and outpatient) Cardiac Windows JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active PA license or Universal License (IMLC) Board: BC or truly BE in Interventional Cardiology DEA: Yes DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide interventional cardiology coverage including hospital consultations and outpatient/inpatient cardiac catheterizations Perform and interpret TEEs, echocardiograms, and cardiac windows Manage STEMI call responsibilities including weeknight beeper call and weekend in-house call Cover general cardiology services on weekends as needed Maintain timely documentation and communication with referring physicians
