Clinical Responsibilities:
The physician will provide comprehensive outpatient gastroenterology care, including:
- New patient consultations and follow-up visits
- Evaluation and management of gastrointestinal disorders
- Office-based endoscopic procedures
- Development of individualized treatment plans
- Supervision of Advanced Practice Providers as needed
Required Procedural Experience:
Candidates should be experienced in performing:
- Upper GI endoscopy (EGD) with biopsy
- Foreign body removal
- Endoscopic treatment of GI bleeding
- Variceal injection and management
- PEG tube placement
- Esophageal dilation and manometry
- Esophageal manometry interpretation
- Small bowel biopsy
- Flexible sigmoidoscopy
- Colonoscopy with biopsy and polypectomy
- Liver biopsy
- Management of Sengstaken-Blakemore tubes
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology Fellowship
- BLS certification required
- ABLS certification required
- Eligible for medical licensure in Montana
- Credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days
