Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide in-house general surgery call coverage
- Evaluate and manage emergency surgical consultations
- Perform urgent and emergent general surgical procedures
- Round on hospitalized surgical patients
- Admit and manage surgical patients as needed
- Document patient care using UHS Cerner
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Surgery
- Fellowship training preferred
- Ability to obtain hospital privileges
- Experience providing emergency general surgery call coverage
- Comfortable managing inpatient surgical patients and emergency cases
