Exciting Opportunity in Radiation Oncology - Lexington, KY
We are currently seeking a skilled Radiation Oncologist for a locum position in Lexington, Kentucky. This role is situated in an ambulatory clinic setting where you will be an integral part of a dedicated healthcare team. The facility provides comprehensive radiation oncology services and offers a supportive work environment. You'll collaborate with an experienced staff, including registered nurses, radiation therapists, and medical physicists, to deliver optimal patient care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee treatment protocols and patient management.
- Conduct new consultations and follow-up assessments.
- Participate in treatment planning and tumor conferences.
- Perform required procedures including SBRT, IMRT, 3D, and SRS.
- Utilize the Epic EMR system for documentation and patient management.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.
Qualifications:
- Active Board Certification Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology.
- Completion of an accredited residency and/or fellowship program.
- Clean professional background with no malpractice issues.
- Ability to cover the specified dates as needed.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current Kentucky Medical License or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) qualifications.
- ACLS and BLS certifications (BLS must be obtained by start date).
- PALS and NRP certifications are a plus (not mandatory).
- DEA registration is preferred but may be obtained post-start.
