Locums - Fredericksburg, Virginia Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) Availability

Required Licenses & Certifications
- Active Virginia APRN license (Required)
- IMLC not accepted
- Current National Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) certification (Required)
- Master's Degree in Nursing (Required)
- Must have been clinically active within the past year (Required)
Experience
- Experienced, certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
- Comfortable providing Level III NICU coverage
- Delivery attendance experience preferred
- Experience collaborating with Neonatologists
Clinical Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Neonatologists during daytime coverage
- Provide in-house overnight NNP coverage with Neonatologist on-call (30-minute response)
- Attend deliveries
- Educate RN and RT teams as patient volume and acuity increase
Practice Details
- Staffing Model:
- 2 Neonatologists
- 3 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners
- 8-bed Level III NICU
- 10 LDR couplet care rooms
- Average daily census: 9-11 (NICU/Nursery)
- Approximately 1,250 annual deliveries annually
- In-house OB Hospitalist support
