Full-Time Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care
Dyersburg Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator / Scheduler in Dyersburg, Tennessee who is responsible for coordinating employee orientation, ongoing education, competency training, and maintaining staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage while supporting regulatory compliance. This position plays a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture and promoting excellence in resident care.
Job Requirements
Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred.
Experience with staff scheduling and/or staff education is highly desirable.
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with scheduling software and Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of state and federal regulations for skilled nursing facilities is preferred.
Job Responsibilities
Coordinate new employee orientation and onboarding.
Plan, organize, and conduct staff education and in-service training.
Maintain employee education records and competencies in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Develop and manage nursing staff schedules while maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
Coordinate schedule changes, call-ins, and coverage needs.
Work collaboratively with nursing leadership to address staffing needs and ensure quality resident care.
Assist with compliance related to infection prevention, mandatory training, and continuing education requirements.
Monitor and track certifications, licenses, and required annual competencies.
Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in regulatory surveys as needed.
Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment through coaching and staff support.
