Nurse Practitioner Veteran Disability Evaluations Full-Time Monday-Friday No Call No Weekends La Crosse, Wisconsin

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to perform disability evaluations for U.S. Veterans in a structured outpatient clinic setting. This is an excellent opportunity for providers seeking a predictable schedule, low patient volume, and meaningful patient interactions without the demands of traditional clinical practice.

Position Highlights
  • Full-Time Opportunity

  • Monday-Friday Schedule

  • 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

  • No Nights

  • No Weekends

  • No Call

  • Approximately 3-5 Veterans per Day

  • In-Person Clinic Setting

  • Competitive Compensation: $550/day ($143,000+ annually)

About the Role

As a Disability Evaluation Provider, you will conduct one-time Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations for Veterans applying for service-connected disability benefits.

You will review medical records, perform focused assessments, and document objective findings through a secure electronic platform. Your evaluations help Veterans receive the benefits they have earned through their service.

This role is assessment-focused and does not involve ongoing patient care.

No:
  • Prescribing

  • Diagnosing

  • Treatment Plans

  • Follow-Up Visits

  • Patient Panels

  • Call Coverage

  • Administrative Burden of Traditional Practice

Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-person disability evaluations

  • Review medical history and supporting documentation

  • Perform focused physical assessments

  • Complete electronic documentation accurately and efficiently

  • Submit examination reports within established timelines

  • Maintain objective and evidence-based findings

Qualifications Required
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license

  • Wisconsin NP license (or ability to obtain prior to start)

  • Ability to work onsite in La Crosse, WI

Preferred
  • Primary Care, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Occupational Health, Urgent Care, Orthopedics, or VA/C&P experience

  • Strong assessment and documentation skills
