Orthopedic Trauma Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

Tuesday Friday

Position Highlights
  • Tuesday Friday schedule
  • Clinic: Tuesday and Fridays
  • Orthopedic trauma clinic and hospital consults
  • Clinic Responsibilities: No procedures done in the clinic. Will work with MA. Must be comfortable working independently. Possible cast remove, putting casts on, suturing, etc.
  • Inpatient rounding and patient management
  • Possible opportunity for first assist in the operating room
  • Pre-operative and post-operative care
  • Evaluation and management of orthopedic trauma patients
  • Average of 2 4 orthopedic trauma consults per day
  • Trauma consults are expected to be evaluated within one hour of notification
  • Collaborative physician-led practice with dedicated orthopedic trauma surgeons
Qualifications
  • Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Orthopedic surgery, trauma surgery, or surgical APP experience preferred
  • First assist experience preferred
  • Georgia licensure or NLC (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong clinical decision-making and excellent communication skills
